- In 1932, Dhirubhai Ambani was born in Gujarat. Since the beginning, he never was involved in formal schooling, so he left school after passing the tenth grade. In 1948 he relocated to Yemen to live. He earned a great deal of money by melting silver coins down and marketing them as a pure metal. He moved to India in 1958 to try in the textile market. He launched the Reliance Commercial Corporation in a minimal space having one table, three chairs, and one telephone.
- Reliance also collaborated with petrochemical and refining business in 1991-92. Through the founding of Reliance Reliance Private Limited, Reliance joined the telecom sector in 1995–96.
- As Dhirubhai passed away in 2002, the Reliance IPO company’s annual profit was over Rs. 75,000 crores. Reliance became the first Indian business to be listed in the list of Fortune 500 firms. The company was passed on between his two children, Mukesh and Anil, after his death.
